The Crucible
Fall Play​
This year, Woodmen Theater is taking a turn for the dramatic. While often controversial Arthur Miller's The Crucible is an American classic. This production will be stage carefully to reflect Miller's detailed instructions and honor this timeless tale of power and its ability to corrupt, turning neighbor against neighbor and making an enemy of the weak.

CONTENT WARNING: Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, winner of the 1953 Tony award for Best Play, is a classic of American theatre. Miller, who also received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Death of a Salesman, is known for his unflinching portrayal of human morality and social conflict.
​
Our production of The Crucible will be presented as written by the author, without changes to the original script. This play is considered PG-13 for some strong language, depictions of violence, discussions of sex, and other mature themes. We recommend that families use their discretion when deciding if the material is appropriate for younger audience members.

Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney's Descendants: The Musical is a brand-new musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films!

Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?

This is our second year staging a fully student-led production. The students are directing, acting, and designing all portions of the show with minimal input from the adult production team who is there to help guide and problem-solve.
